Bonnie castle is a magnificent Victorian building located in a quiet little southern town 45 minutes southwest of Atlanta, Georgia and 115 miles northeast of Montgomery, Alabama.
One quarter of the small Southern downtown of Grantville, GA is modestly consumed by the picturesque structure and landscaping of Bonnie Castle Bed, Breakfast & Events.
Nostalgia and warmth are the markings of this Victorian Era home circa 1896. From the authentic hitching at the entrance to the serenity of "Lillie Bell's Garden," bamboo areas, and everything that awaits the retreating soul inside... Bonnie Castle offers the gentility of "Southern Style and Authenticity."
Nearby local citizens on the streets and sidewalks of Main Street welcome visitors and passers-by with a hand wave and a warm "hey there". Directly across the street white benches and a wooden swing set decorate "Colley Park". Colley Park was established in 1976 and named in memory of the Colley Family, the original builders of Bonnie Castle. At the far end of Main Street facing the Bonnie Castle Bed, Breakfast & Events is the historic "Grantville First United Methodist Church" from which melodious chimes and music resonate throughout the city of Grantville.
Inside the Victorian Romanesque mansion, this 20-room, three-story home is accented with intricately molded plaster designs, ornately carved oak staircases, newel posts, brilliant stained-glass windows and mahogany woodwork. The Bed & Breakfast features 3 LUXURY SUITES each complete with a one-of-a-kind original historic fireplace.
E
ntertainment and Lodging have been the historic business of Bonnie Castle. Famous guests are a part of the mansion's history.  President Franklin D. Roosevelt, from time to time, stopped at Bonnie Castle on his way to Warm Springs, GA. Over the years, other Presidents, Ministers, and famous political and religious officials have graced the doors of this mansion for social events and retreats, rest and spirtual bonding. Notable guests also included China's Eternal First Lady the wife of Nationalist Chinese President Madame Chiang Kai-Shek, and President James Earl "Jimmy" Carter, Jr.
